GU:UM & Birds of A Feather Team Up for One-Night-Only Collaboration Dinner

For one night only, modern Korean steakhouse GU:UM and contemporary Sichuanese restaurant Birds of A Feather will join forces for an exclusive collaborative dinner on 23 July 2025

Sharing Dinner Menu

Held at Birds of A Feather, this special event will spotlight a Sharing Menu ($158++ per pax) that explores the creative intersections between Sichuan and Korean cuisines. 

Yukhwae Jeon & Dakgalbi

From GU:UM’s menu, the popular Yukhwae Jeon makes an appearance – it’s a crisp potato pancake layered with marinated beef tartare and finished with Egg Royale.

Served on sourdough and topped with a mix of cheeses, the Dakgalbi features tender chicken stir-fried in gochujang sauce and spices.

Seafood Naengmyeon

Adding to the opening the feast is Birds of A Feather Head Chef Eugene take on a chilled noodle dish: Seafood Naengmyeon. 

This will feature a Sichuan cold green broth, served with uni, deep sea crab, European seabass, and mountain caviar.

Foie Gras Dumpling

Next is  the Foie Gras Dumpling, a delicate parcel filled with kimchi, camembert, and foie gras. Paired with Sichuan sweet peanut sauce and a black sesame tuile, it brings together Korean and Sichuan elements in a single bite.

Feast from Both World

The main event presents a shared platter showcasing charcoal-grilled Shimo Wagyu Anchang-sal and Iberico Pork Presa by the GU:UM team, alongside Skewer of Venison Loin and Wok-Fried Tiger Prawn prepared by the chefs at Birds of A Feather. 

Accompanying this hearty spread are a variety of banchan – from Fermented Squid, Ssamjang, and Red Kimchi by GU:UM, to Burnt Chilli with Marinated Black Fungus and Liang Fen by Birds of A Feather.

Anchovies Garlic Rice & Kimchi Stew

To pair with the feast, aromatic Anchovies Garlic Rice from Birds of A Feather, and a hearty Kimchi Stew from GU:UM will be served as well.

Hotteok

The meal concludes with a sweet finale: a Hotteok jointly crafted by Chef Eugene and Chef Sanggil. This fluffy Korean pancake is filled with candied nuts, topped with a smooth white sesame parfait, and served with jujube gel.
