Foreword Coffee Roasters: Local Inclusive Cafe Opens A New Outlet At Canberra Plaza

Foreword Coffee is more than just a cafe, it’s a social enterprise that hires differently-abled individuals with conditions such as autism, cerebral palsy and deafness. These individuals now work and serve coffee at various Foreword Coffee outlets spread across our little red dot.

New Foreword Coffee Outlet in Canberra Plaza

Right in the heart of the Canberra, their latest outlet is tucked away in a corner in the top floor of Canberra Plaza.

The menu here at Canberra Plaza is similar to their other outlets, with drinks such as their Timeless Yuanyang ($6.5), Espresso-based coffee and small bites like Butter Croissants ($3.8).

So, what’s different about this outlet?

Eversys Coffee Machine

Since Foreword Coffee hires the differently-abled, they’ve decided to bring in an Eversys Coffee Machine for their Canberra Plaza outlet to make operations easier.

Usually at cafes, the barista manually pours the milk into the pitcher, steams and aerates it. However, with the Eversys machine, the process is now automated. No worries, you still get barista-quality milk.

The Eversys coffee system also has in-built grinders that allows Foreword to serve up to 2 types of coffee beans simultaneously, as well as a coffee calibration system that can be easily activated with a tap of a button.

The Eversys Coffee Machine creates barista-quality milk that allows users to make latte art with little barista training

These functions come together to help the differently-abled make barista quality coffee more easily.

$2.90 Opening Promotion

To celebrate their new outlet’s opening, they will be having a $2.90 All-Day Coffee promotion from 16 Feb to 21 Feb 2021.

This promotion is only available at their Canberra outlet.
