Cing Tea: Bubble Tea From Taiwan’s Feng Jia Night Market in Tanjong Pagar

There’s a new bubble tea brand in town, yes another new one! Cing Tea is a bubble tea brand from Taiwan’s Feng Jia Night Market, and they have just opened a new outlet at Icon Village, Tanjong Pagar!

If you’re someone who’s missing Taiwan, this new BBT brand might just help remind you of Taiwan.

While there are seats available within the shop over at Tanjong Pagar, most people would just opt for takeaway since the number of seats is quite limited. They also have self-ordering kiosks for extra convenience.

The brand is known for its oolong teas, in particular the turquoise tea. While one might confuse turquoise tea to be turquoise in colour, it isn’t. It’s simply a lighter version of oolong.

Some signature menu items include the Cing Fruit Tea ($5), Oolong Tea Latte ($4/$5), and Grape Vinegar w/ Jelly ($5.8).

Left: Mashed Taro Milk, Right: Honey Lemon Turquoise Tea

Honey Lemon Turquoise Tea

The first item on their signature menu is the Honey Lemon Turquoise Tea ($5.5) that only comes in a large size. The drink is essentially a refreshing honey lemon drink but with a fragrant tea aftertaste that’s perfect for a hot day.

Mashed Taro Milk

The Mashed Taro Milk ($5.6) was the drink that led us to Cing Tea after all the images we’ve seen online. There’s a fixed sugar level for this drink and only comes in a medium size.

If you love taro paste or orh nee, this is the drink for you. The taro paste used is made fresh in their shop and was deliciously fragrant. Some might find this a bit milky, just make sure to mix well before you drink.

Left: Guava Lemonade, Right: Passionfruit Lemonade w Jelly

Guava Lemonade

The Guava Lemonade ($4.5/$5.5) is made with fresh guava and is only served cold. While the staff recommended a 50% sugar level to balance out the sourness, we felt that a 30% sugar level was sufficient. In fact, we loved the sourness of the lemonade which made us go back for more.

Passionfruit Lemonade w/ Jelly

A very safe choice would be the Passionfruit Lemonade w/ Jelly ($4.5/$5.5) if you’re looking for something refreshing and easy on the stomach after a filling meal.

Cing Tea at Tanjong Pagar

Cing Tea adds on to the list of growing bubble tea brands in Singapore, with some unique offerings like Turquoise Tea. The spot would be great for those working nearby and wanting an afternoon perk-me-up.
