Do you love browsing Korean marts? The latest Korean supermarket in Singapore is Chorok Market, which opened back in Nov 2020 at Orchard Gateway. This new Korean mart has lots of new items that we don’t normally see in other Korean marts in Singapore.
Chorok Market
According to their Instagram profile, Chorok Market is branded as Singapore’s No.1 Premium Korean supermarket. They get their fruits and vegetables directly from Korea and place a lot of emphasis on freshness. We were greeted by the Korean staff with a nice and friendly 안녕하세요! (Annyeong-haseyo)
Here are some of the items available at Chorok Market:
Fresh Vegetable and Fruits
Depending on the situation, some vegetables may be available while some may not. We saw quite a few common vegetables such as radish, leeks and chives. However, there was also an interesting one called Saltmarsh Sand Spurry.
The radishes and cabbages here are huge, perfect for making your own kimchi.
They also have premium Korean strawberries (500g for $19.90) as well as Shine Muscat (1 box for $24.95)
Soju
Perhaps the most eye-catching item here was the price for the soju. For $9.90, you can get a bottle of Jinro Chamisul, original or fruit flavoured. On the other hand, the retro blue bottled Jinro Soju is retailing for $11.90 a bottle.
We hope this isn’t just a year-end promotion, but if it is, you might want to start heading down to stock up for your Christmas/New Year’s/CNY gatherings! Chorok Market, if you’re reading this, please don’t change the prices of the soju!
Meat Corner
There is a butchery corner within Chorok Market selling different cuts of pork and beef, perfect for those who want a KBBQ Experience at home.
Rice and Grains
If you’re trying to cook different variations of Korean rice at home, check out the corner with all the rice and grains. They have millet, sorghum, polished barley and different types of beans so you can cook almost any type of Korean rice.
Instant Noodles
Not sure about you, but we haven’t seen a lot of Pulmuone items in SG Korean marts. Here, you can find different instant noodles and frozen food items from Pulmuone.
Some interesting ones are the Premium Vegan Ramen and Oyster Jjampong Ramyeon.
Convenient Air Fryer Frozen Items
If you’re a person who seeks convenience, you probably have an air fryer at home. Chorok Market has quite a number of Korean frozen food products that you can just immediately throw into the air fryer.

- Pulmuone Mozzarella Hotteok Mandu
- Pulmuone Mozzarella Fishcake Corndogs
- CJ One Apple Turnovers and other bakes
Besides the air fryer items, they also have frozen kimchi dumplings, flat dumplings and more.
Ice Cream and Desserts
There’s also a pile of Korean ice cream in their freezer with well-known ones like Melona and Dwaeji-Bar. You can also find some convenience store aesthetic mochi swiss rolls and dessert sandwiches.
Promising Korean Mart in Orchard
Chorok Market seems like a promising new Korean mart in Singapore with its wide range of products, including fresh vegetables and not so commonly seen items. Since it’s right in the heart of Orchard Road, the mart is quite accessible as well.
