Coming to Disney+ this October 26th, ‘Unexpected Business in California’ is a Korean variety show that promises laughter and heartwarming interactions. Premiering in 2021, it quickly won the hearts of fans, with many anticipating the new season.
On this show, Cha Taehyun and Zo Insung, who share a close friendship off-screen, will be taking on the challenge of running a Korean-American supermarket in the quiet seaside city of Monterey, California. Along with the recent success of Moving, the new season of Unexpected Business sparks much interest, with actress Han Hyo Joo appearing as a guest!
Treated Like Everyday Employees, Casting Away Red Carpet Lifestyles
Giving the store owner its much-deserved break, Cha Taehyun and Zo Insung will temporarily set aside their celebrity lives to step into the shoes of a CEO. They will have to navigate the unexpected hurdles of running a business, especially in an environment which they are not familiar with.
Joined by guest part-timers personally invited by the cast, they’ll be rolling up their sleeves to tackle everyday tasks. Previous seasons have featured guests like Lee Kwang Soo and Kim Woo Bin, so we can anticipate the appearance of more such star-studded guests, showing off their awesome chemistry and tight-knit bond!
Seeing our favourite actors in a completely new light is undeniably one of those moments that brings a smile to our faces from behind the screens. With Season 1 and 2 having their fair share of touching moments, I’m crossing my fingers for a whole lot more in Season 3!
Fans can also look forward to Zo Insung taking his culinary prowess up a level, dishing up classic Korean flavours to be savoured and shared with American customers.
