In light of the Covid-19 situation worldwide, social distancing has become one of the most important things to keep in mind. Saw the recent ‘Stay Home’ sticker on Instagram? That’s also social distancing. The yellow lines on the floor while queuing up for food? Social distancing. The chairs marked with a cross in hawker centres? Social distancing as well.

Some brands have also modified their logos to remind people to always practice social distancing.

The brand’s logo was seen with its letters spread apart on an ad featured on the Times Squares Billboard. The logo is also seen with the tagline: Staying apart is the best way to stay united.

TimeOut

The well-known online portal, TimeOut has rebranded to TimeIn for both its New York and London editions, suggesting that people should spend time in their homes during this Covid-19 period.

Audi

Audi is well known for its logo, four rings interlocked with each other. However, on the company’s Turkish Instagram account, the company posted a video of the logo splitting into four circles, separate from one another.

The video also ends with a message which translates to: “Let’s keep the distance”

Razer

The triple-headed snake logo by Razer is recognized everywhere. The company has modified its logo to show three snakes facing outward, away from one another.

If you ask us, these are small yet huge actions by the companies (cute as well). These companies have taken great initiative in bringing forth the message of social distancing to the public.

In other news, Singapore has announced that all bars, clubs, karaoke outlets, entertainment venues such as cinemas and theatres will be closed from 26th of March to April 30th this year. Other places such as centre-based tuition and enrichment classes will also be suspended.

Gatherings outside of school and work will also be limited to a maximum of 10 people, so no more meeting up with your orientation cliques to go steamboat or barbeque.

Please practice social distancing as much as possible during this period so that we can actively fight this virus together. If you’re unsure on what you can do at home during this period, check out this article, on things to do at home.
