A special limited edition Shake Shack menu has been released in Korea, featuring one of the country’s representative foods: Gochujang (Red Chilli Paste)
From 29th Sept till the end of October, the limited gochujang menu items will be available at all Shake Shack Korea outlets.
Three New Gochujang Menu Items
Gochujang Chicken Shack
The Gochujang Chicken Shack features a deep-fried sous-vide chicken breast smothered in a gochujang glaze and sprinkled with black and white sesame seeds. It is then placed on top of a bed of crispy kimchi slaw.
Gochujang Shack
The Gochujang Shack features a beef patty with melted Emmental cheese on top of a bed of kimchi slaw, topped with gochujang mayo. Swapping out the usual lettuce, pickled cucumbers are used instead, to add a refreshing taste and crunch to the burger.
Gochujang Fries
The signature crinkle-cut potatoes are topped with gochujang mayo, bacon bits, gochugaru (Korean red chilli powder) and chives.
Will I Be Able To Try This?
Well, despite travel restrictions, you might actually be able to try this in the future.
The burgers are not available in Singapore, but according to Korea Times, if the menu receives positive feedback and sell well in Korea, they will be sold in other countries as well.
