Now in its 14th consecutive year, the Korean Film Festival in Singapore, happening from 16 – 29 Nov, goes digital this year through Shaw’s online cinema platform, Kinolouge.
This year, the Korean Film Festival in Singapore features 8 Korean cinematic masterpieces which pay tribute to the theme of family. The 8 different films bring focus on social conventions and dilemmas and allow the audience to see the dialogue between emotions and film.
8 Diverse Korean Films
You can expect not only blockbusters but also Korean classic films that showcase the timeless beauty of black and white cinema.

- Inseparable Bros 나의 특별한 형제
A great film for the whole family would be ‘Ashfall’, a blockbuster featuring Ha Jung-woo and Lee Byung-hun. If you want to opt for something more heartwarming, ‘Inseparable Bros’ is a perfect choice.
The acclaimed title ‘Moving On’, written and directed by 30-year-old South Korean female director and scriptwriter Yoon Dan-bi, tells the story of a young brother and sister staying at their grandfather’s house for summer vacation.
Director Yoon Dan-bi manages to highlight complex family relationships with masterful restraint yet powerful resonance through the film, which won her the title of Bright Future Competition at the International Film Festival Rotterdam earlier this year.
The feature film also made its world premiere at Busan International Film Festival in 2019, receiving 4 awards.

These 8 films will be available to stream via Kinolouge, Shaw’s online cinema platform. You simply need to create an account and rent the film you want to watch.
These films will be available for rental from 16 Nov to 29 Nov.
Once rented, the films will be in your account for 14 days. Do note that each film has a 48-hour playback window, which means, once you hit play, you will have to finish the film within a 48-hour time frame – or watch it as many times as you want within the 48 hours.
