We all know that by definition, healing is the act of restoring health to be free from illness or injury. However, the Korean concept of healing is more of taking care of your own mind and body, away from all the stress and work that’s bringing you down. Some people like to go camping, and some might even go for a quick walk. One common and simple way is watching Healing Korean Variety Shows.

Healing Variety Shows

Usually, Korean Healing Variety Shows tend to revolve around showing clips of nature, exploring new places, or even just having celebrities share some of their stories through different segments.

We previously did one article that featured shows like Begin Again and Hyori’s Bed & Breakfast, which are classic examples of healing Korean variety shows. This article will cover 5 new Korean healing variety shows that will help you to relax after a tiring and difficult day.

House on Wheels (바퀴 달린 집)

Just like its title, this Korean variety show features a house that’s on wheels, a concept similar to an RV. Actors Sung Dong-il and Kim Hee-won, along with Yeo Jin-goo (season 1) and Im Si-wan (Season 2) travel around South Korea in a wheeled house.

Some prominent guests that have stayed over in the wheeled house include IU, Lee Hye-ri, YoonA from Girls’ Generation, and Bae Doo-na.

You can expect to see sights of Korea you never knew existed. You can watch this on Viu.

Camping Vibes (갬성캠핑)

The popular camping trend in Korea has resulted in various camping-themed variety shows in Korea. Gamsung Camping follows an all-female cast camping around various sites in Korea.

The cast imagine themselves in another country during their 2D1N trips, with various locations in Korea that remind them of countries like the US, Vietnam, and Mexico.

Unexpected Business (어쩌다 사장)

Cha Tae-hyun and Jo In-sung find themselves in Hwacheon, taking over a countryside minimart and restaurant.

Throughout the 10 days, they learn the tricks of the trade of running a business by themselves, providing the surrounding villagers with meals, building relationships, and exchanging stories.

Along the way, they receive help from part-time workers such as Park Bo-young, Nam Joo-hyuk, and more.

It’s a simple show reflecting the routines of the villagers in Hwacheon, with stories that’ll warm your heart. Season 2 is available to watch on Viu.

Youn’s Stay (윤스테이)

After 2 successful seasons of Youn’s Kitchen, the cast members now have to operate a hanok guesthouse. Due to the pandemic, they’ve opened up the guesthouse to foreigners who have lived in South Korea for less than a year and cannot explore Korea to the fullest.
