Although twin brothers Ha Woosin and Song Suhyeon (both played by Jisung) are identical in looks, they have vastly different personalities as well as approaches to problem-solving which plays out in the thrilling drama “ADAMAS”.
However, a new revelation that their biological father was framed and charged for the murder of their stepfather 22 years ago compels the two, a mystery novelist and a prosecutor respectively, to work together to unveil the full truth. In order to expose the true identity of the murderer and prove the innocence of their biological father, the twins have to find ADAMAS – a blood-covered diamond arrow that serves as evidence of the murder.
This fast-paced Korean mystery drama features a star-studded cast with Jisung as the protagonists, Seo Jihye from Crash Landing on You, Lee Sookyung from Law School and Heo Sungtae from Squid Game. Get ready to be kept at the edge of your seats as ADAMAS premieres on Disney+ on 27 July 2022!
During the ADAMAS Press Conference held on 26 Jul, Director Park Seung-woo mentioned that while the drama does fall within certain genres, it is hard to define the exact genre of the series, with various elements such as mystery, thriller, action as well as noir which makes it stand out from other titles. Actor Heo Sungtae also mentioned that the drama was really fun, reminding him of a sitcom when he did the table reading with the cast.
When asked what term would represent the drama, Actress Seo Jihye said it was like an Onion, because no matter how much you peel, you will constantly uncover newer things.
With Jisung playing 7 characters/identities in a drama previously, viewers can look forward to how he will represent and act out the twin brother roles accurately in ADAMAS.
ADAMAS will be available on Disney+ from 27 Jul.
