Gasirim (가시림): New Aesthetic Garden Cafe in Jeju Filled With Blooming Camellia Flowers in Winter

If you didn’t know, camellia flowers are one of the few flowers that bloom in winter, which is why camellia flower spots in Jeju are so popular during winter. Enter Gasirim, a new spot in Jeju that contains both a garden and a cafe, perfect for visitors looking to take some photos while enjoying a cuppa.

View of the Garden from the Cafe

Gasirim is located in the southeastern part of Jeju and inside their space, you’ll find a garden as well as a cafe. Being an attraction, an entrance fee is collected when you enter – this gives you access to the garden and the cafe.

The garden is made up of several different sections, such as a metasequoia tree lane, a hydrangea flower garden, a greenhouse, and more. The section to visit during the winter is definitely their camellia flower forest, where you’ll witness blooming camellia flowers with roads covered in pink/red petals.

The garden is not the largest, and if you’re exploring the space while taking photos, you should be able to finish it within 30 minutes.

Once you’re done, you can head to the cafe space which is also aesthetic heaven.

Aesthetic Cafe in Jeju

The cafe looks sleek and modern from the exterior, with reflective metallic elements for the doors and exposed concrete for the majority of its structure. Inside, the roof provides a high ceiling which makes the place feel larger and taller.

We loved the glass windows which provided ample natural lighting into the place and gave a nice view of the garden.

There’s a huge communal table right in the middle of the cafe, which sits around 16 to 18 pax, alongside some smaller tables that can fit only groups of 2.

To place an order, the cafe has two kiosks near the entrance of the door and only accepts card payments at the moment.

Gasirim Jeju Menu

The menu here at Gasirim is quite simple, with items such as a Vanilla Latte (5,500won), Cream Cafe Mocha (6,000won), Strawberry Latte (6,500won), and a lesser-seen Ginger Latte (6,500won). Non-milk options also include a range of teas, Lemon Soda (6,000won) and Ginger Soda (6,000won).

For desserts, they have small bites such as the Lemon Madeleine (2,500won), Chocolate Madeleine (2,500won), Financier (3,000won), and Earl Grey Pound Cake (6,000won).

The most notable item that we tried was the Cinnamon Cream Latte (6,500won) which wasn’t too sweet and had a nice cinnamon fragrance. The cream on top of the drink was creamy and smooth, which we enjoyed very much. As for the small bites, our pick was the financier, thanks to its crispy exterior and fluffy center.
