Poset (포셋): Postcard Library in Yeonhui-dong Where You Can Buy, Write & Store Aesthetic Postcards

Hidden on the third floor of a building in Yeonhui-dong, Seoul is Poset (포셋) – a popular spot among locals for postcards.

Poset Sign outside Shop

There isn’t a huge sign leading towards the shop, and you might feel slightly out of place when entering the building. However, if you see this sign once you climb up to the 3rd floor, you’re in the right place. (That’s right, no elevator).

Aesthetic Postcards in Seoul

Once you enter the space, you’ll find rows of postcards on display, from illustrations to aesthetic photos of landscapes from familiar cities like Busan to spots in Europe. Apart from postcards, they also sell items like envelopes, notebooks, and stationery! You can even get things like small, cutely designed stickers for your diaries or even to seal an envelope.

Some brands you will find here are Warmgrey Tail, Gimgre, INAPSQUARE, and Yejinmoon’s landscape postcards.

Poset also has a corner where it does an exhibition that changes from time to time.

Near the entrance of Poset are tables and chairs equipped with items like pens, pencils, and notepads for all your writing needs. Do note that there are limited seats here, so do wait for your turn!

Poset also has a value-added service where you can store your postcards in lockers, along with your personal belongings if you wish. However, the minimum period required is 1 month and comes at a small price. If you are intending to return to Korea after some time, this might be an interesting activity in Seoul to consider.

Some things to take note of, since it’s a library, smartphones should be kept to silent mode or set to vibrate only, and conversations should be kept to a minimum (loud noises should be avoided in general).
